And a last classic blog from the island. Next time, photos from capitol of Dalmatia, Split! :)

But, first things first. Little more from Drvenik Mali. As I’ve dragged extension tubes with me, for those hot and lazy afternoons, here are three photos with large magnification.

Hello!

In last blog, I’ve displayed photos taken in the down of the day. This time, photos taken at the end of the day. Yet again I was lucky to be at the right place at the right time, and again I had an interesting situation on the sky. It didn’t look like that in first, though.

Photobucket
As you can see on this panorama, nothing special was happening on the sky. At that time. :)

Photobucket
This is a remake of the photo taken last year, but now the clouds are more interesting, and I have a person on the path! :)

Photobucket
As you can see on this HDR photo, something was rolling on the sky.

Photobucket
I went down to the south shore of the island where there is no land down to Italy, couple hundred of kilometers away. So, sea is merciless here on the nice day, I can only imagine how it looks when there is a real winter storm. This catamaran  was at the right place to be bathed in this golden sun light that still found it’s way trough dark clouds.

Photobucket
I’ve found this small cloud light by descending sun interesting as contrast to big dark sky and sea.

Photobucket
If you look closely above the horizon, you will see a cloud formation that was speeding across the sky towards the island. There wasn’t lightning nor the rain, but for sure it did look interesting.

Photobucket
I think this panorama shows the cloud formation in more detail. I don’t have an idea what’s it’s called, but I do know that it flew over me in maybe ten minutes, and as it passed over the wind pick up the speed and brought some cooler air, but nothing more.

Photobucket
Black sea?

Photobucket
One long, but really long exposure. :)

Photobucket
Cloudy-watery. :)

And as cloud formation went away, sky started to clear and got some orange shades of dusk.

Hello!
As I promised in last blog, today topic is early morning photography. Unlike my colleague Dadek who likes to get up early and for that is often rewarded with excellent photos, I’m more sunset type guy. :) But, this summer I’ve decided to get up early to meet the rising sun. As you’ll (I hope :) ) see I was rewarded too!

That morning, the storm rolled from the southwest, which was even better because it was coming from the opposite side of the sunrise. Every landscape photographer will tell you that it’s the best light, incoming storm and sun low on horizon. Anyway, you got it! Dark clouds, sun low on horizon, clouds that aren’t really hiding the sun, and that’s it!

06:46 AM. My place is about 700 meters from this place. As I arrived home, big raindrops stared to fall, and I happily lied down in my bed. That was short and sweet.

And for the  end, twenty seconds of sunrise. Thank you for you attention, see you soon! :)

Looks like I’m getting lazy again, it took me too long to write something. Oh, well. Today, some infra red photos and few long exposure photos. Speaking of IR photos, I’m not sure about them jet. Processing them, playing with channel mixer, it’s still little like magic for me. :) So, as you will see, they’re pretty blue. :)

I always got this blue tone. OK, there is not too much foliage to get that distinctive white IR effect, so they are just blue. :)

Apart of these two. They were too strange in color, so removing it was obvious solution.

And to wrap it up, two long exposure photos.

This blue is one of my favorite photos from this year’s vacation. When I was thinking about what and how I’ll photograph this year I had something like this in mind. Minimalistic.

For next blog, I’m announcing photos I made before, at and after sunrise! Yes, right, I got up early to go snap photos. On vacation! :D

Thank you for your visit. If you liked some of photos, please do write me a comment here on blog, or If you like, you can share this blog with your friends on face, space or whatever. :) It’s just one click! :)
