From plains in to the fog!
Hello, I’m very glad to see you again, if this is your first visit, I’m even more happy! :)

Today, a series of a somewhat depressing photos. Fog is making me depressed, put’s me in the bad mood, and makes me more peevish than i usually am. :) But, from photographers point of view fog offers many opportunities. Like ones that you’ll see on following photos. All of this photos were taken on lake on the nearby Drava river.

Path trough woods.

Unfortunately, I couldn’t focus when gentlemen with unbuttoned trench coat with dog running by it’s side came closer, but it’s still reminds me of Grunf from the famous TNT group. :)

Perspective is a funny thing. Everything is relative, it depends on how you put things. :)

Photobucket
And I finally arrived on the part of the lake where people have cottages, boats, moorings, etc. Boats are somehow often finding their way to my photos.

Another boat and mooring.

It took me half an hour to get this photo. This fisherman was around 50 meters away from me, but the fog was constantly changing. For a moment he was visible, than next one he wasn’t. It was hard to get
the photo as I wanted, but I like it as it is, despite technical shortcomings.

Fish and fishery, that’s life for some… :)

And sugar comes last. :) I’ve left some color here, so the whole post will not be so gray. :)
Thank you for the visit, feel free to leave a comment or to share this post with your friends on social networks. There are plenty of little buttons for that just under this text. :)

Hello!
After two months of  vacation photos, it’s time to get back to photos from home. Photos I’m showing today were taken in last weekend of August, and as you will see, it was beautiful summer day with lot’s of big white clouds. Perfect for landscape photography. :) I sat on my silver arrow :) and headed east of my town over the fields towards the Mura river.

Lines and clouds.

I drove the field roads and came to this statue:

I’ve used filter to get long exposure to show the passage of time, which is passing over this statue for more than 100 years!

Paths, in IR tehnique.

Afterward,  I proceeded towards the Mura river to the river ferry. But, my goal wasn’t (for a change) river and ferry. I photographed insects and flowers. Not my motives lately, but since banks of river were full of flowers and around flowers there were lot’s of bugs feeding on the nectar, I’ve decided to use abundance of light summer sun provided and created couple photos that I’m showing you today.

Flower.

And for the end, a 360 degrees panorama of interesting crossroad.

That’s all folks! Next time, something from September.

After a roll of infrared film, classic b&w film was in order. It was again from our own Croatian maker of films, EFKE from Samobor. Lot’s of people I know don’t appreciate Efke films, but since I’m more playing with film than trying to create some serious photography, I’m buying somewhat cheaper films made in Croatia.

So, it’s Efke 25 asa film. I’ve bought it more because of slow speed than of fine grain. I’ve added two ND filters that combined removed 5 stops of light, so I could have exposures of over second and more in bright sunlight. And that’s what I like! :)

Films were developed in Xtol 1+3 for 11 minutes. I’ve used two rolls (12 photos each). But only with couple of photos on second film I was satisfied with…  And those are following:

This last photo is to illustrate the effects of the sea water on the film.

I had unfortunate accident, my camera felt in to the sea! It was only for short time, but enough to be hit by wave and filled with sea water.  So, this is the last photo my camera made… I’ve bought me self, “brand new” old camera to replace it, don’t worry! :)

OK, this blog entry was last from this summer vacation. As always, there are plenty of tourist photos, but there are couple of exceptions that I’m really satisfied with. So in next blog, we are back home!

This summer I finally had a chance to try infrared film photography. I’ve bought cheap but not bad IR filter from e-bay, I had EFKE Aura infrared film, and of course I had enough time and interesting motifs to photograph.

Let’s clear the technical part first. The camera was TLR Seagull F4, on tripod and I was using wire trigger. Aperture was at f8, I’ve metered light with classic light meter,  at 1 ASA. That resulted in exposures in a range of about a second. I was photographing at afternoon, at about 5 o clock. I’ve developed this film in Xtol developer. Dilution was 1 + 3 and developing time was 14 minutes. The film was not scanned, but I’ve photographed it. So, for the firs time, I’m satisfied.
There are couple of exposures that I like.

That’s all for this time. Next time some more black and white film photography.
